Fired in the Fall semester of 2009 in the Juniata College anagama. The firing was a little cooler than I would have liked but the two teapots I placed in the kiln came out with a very light dusting of wood ash. Basic surface; yet strong form. This clay body is the standard grey stoneware body mixed at Juniata. I later edited the body and started adding GoldArt to the mix and it turns out way better in a wood kiln atmosphere. The light sources of iron present in the Cedar Heights stoneware-ish clay really help it flash (I'll be adding some pots from the Fall 2010 firing soon. So keep an eye out for them!).
