This piece is one of the best pieces out of the Spring 2008 firing of the Juniata Anagama. Almost front and center. Now I have heard that putting stoneware and higher iron content clays in the front of an anagama is a waste of space but this bowl made me realize that a well placed piece any where in the kiln is, a well placed piece. Side-fired with almost a glassy biidoro and well defined shell marks. It even has some matte purple-silver shelf drips on the 'top' side (the opposite side of the image) that really add to the overall quality of the pot. cone 11.
